Herb Appenzeller, Co-Founder. (9/28/1925 - 1/05/2018)
Dr. Herb Appenzeller is a nationally recognized authority in the field of sport law and sport management. He became an endowed professor of sport management at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC, following 31 years as athletics Director.
The author and/or editor of 25 books, 13 in the field of sport law, he is a member of eight sport Halls of Fame, and has received the Professional Service Award for the Safety Society of the American Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance and the Honor Award for the North Carolina AAHPERD.
In 1990 he was recognized by the International Conference on Sport Business at the University of South Carolina for the Athletics/Academe Award. He received the Distinguished Service Award from Guilford College and the Distinguished Service Award from the N.C. High School Athletic Association.
In 1999, Herb also received the leadership award for the Society for the Study of Legal Aspects of Sports and Physical Activity (SSLASPA). In 2000 SLRA presented Herb with the President's Award. In 2003 Herb was honored with the Academic Achievement Award from the International Conference on Sport and Entertainment Business.
In 2004 Herb was presented with The Outstanding Award from National Association of Sport and Physical Education (NASPE). In 2006 he was recognized by the NC AthleticTraining Association as a pioner in sport medicine and received the George Whitfield Baseball Clinic Hall of Fame award.

Ron has more than 20 years experience in sports law and marketing. He founded The Center for Sports Law and Risk Management, Inc., in Dallas in 1988, and has counseled numerous clients in the sports industry on sports law and team-related operational strategies.
Ron's client roster includes Major League Baseball and National Football League teams, key collegiate athletics programs as well as operators of stadiums and arenas. Ron formerly served as an Adjunct Professor of Sports Law at the University of Houston Law Center and his law school alma mater The Delaware Law School of Widener University. He was also named to a task force on behalf of the United States Olympic Committee.
In 1994, Ron founded Sports Fantasy Tours & Events; providing customized sports marketing programs for Fortune 500 corporations, media and trade association clientele. Mr. Baron is also the founder and President of the new Continental Baseball League which is an independent professional baseball league that will begin play in May, 2007
